I/we obviously haven't blogged for a while, partly because we've been trying to settle back into 'normal Brisbane life' at an even pace, partly because we've been sick pretty much since we got back from PNG, and partly because we went over our monthly down/upload limit for August (*mega sigh*) so have been severely restricted in speed - until this Friday!! So I thought I'd ease back in with a couple of straightforward posts - this week's Bulletin prayer points especially for the benefit of any ex-SLE overseas readers (g'day-lah!), and a guest post from Steph... More from us soon, hopefully!
Praise God for the way He is growing both our giving base and our generosity – as shown in increasing offering figures as well as air-conditioning fund-raising. Thank Him for the privilege of participating in His work of saving people, through stewarding His money during our time on earth. Pray that we’ll keep growing in a biblical understanding of our role as His stewards – of the life, money, gifts, and resources He’s given us to bless others with.
Pray for upcoming camps – SALT/CiA’s camp shares its dates with OMF’s Asia Focus weekend, and Unicell camp is later this month. Pray that God’s word will be clearly and faithfully taught, that believers will be built up in love and knowledge, and unbelievers will be convicted by God’s Spirit and granted salvation.
Pray for each other that in the course of the daily grind, we’ll be found faithful to our Lord and Saviour. Pray that through our lives’ trials, uncertainties, and obstacles, we’ll seek not merely quick or worldly or unholy solutions, but the righteous life that God desires. Pray for each other’s perseverance in grace, trust, and holiness.
